Killam Baptist Church’s aim and purpose is to preach the Gospel, to minister to the spiritual needs of its members and all people everywhere, to train Christian workers for the Lord’s work, and to share the good news of the Gospel by word and action to the world that men, women and children through the convicting power of the Holy Spirit may receive a living faith in Jesus Christ. Having been led, by the Holy Spirit of God, to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and to confess Him as Lord, and on confession of this faith, we most solemnly and joyfully covenant with one another, as one body in Christ, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him. |
Killam Baptist Church is comprised of approximately 130 adherents and members. Our church has Sunday School classes for all ages, Sunday morning worship service and Sunday Church plant service in Forestburg Alberta (a community of approximately 900 people, located 40 km South of Killam). We also have a Kids Club for Grades K-6 and an active Youth Group for Grades 6-12.
In 2006, the church celebrated 100 years of ministry in Killam and the surrounding communities. This vital congregation looks forward to many more years of serving God as a lighthouse in the area. "I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers."
